As much as I would like to say this is the best Halloween ever...I might be more accurate if I said it's the most cranky! When there is an almost three year old in the house that wants everything her way and right now already and by the way, no thanks for the nap...ugh. Lots of tears, a frustrated momma, an aggravated boyfriend and two grandparents that are longing for an empty nest.
I'm trying to get the Primitive Bags recharted. I get a lot of "help" when in front of the computer. I'm just about done and will get them out to Ann at Dyeing To Stitch in Virginia Beach. Thanks Ann for the request. It's nice to know that there are stitchers out there still enjoying my graphs!
Sit down. I have something to tell you. I have a design that needs just a few tweaks and it will be ready to release. Woo Hoo! It's a sampler. Monochrome. My favorite. Anyway, I like it. Simple. Classic. Hope to have it out in a few weeks. It has to be finished, framed, photographed and graphed. And as you know, I'm not the speediest!
I can't believe that tomorrow it November! I've already started to pick up supplies for my Thanksgiving dinner. I have about 20 people over every year and we sure do eat a lot of food! Several stay for a few days so it's not only the main course that I have to supply...breakfasts, dinners, snacks, drinks. I enjoy Thanksgiving more than Christmas. Does that make me old? I love that everyone spends so much time together talking and catching up. No stress of present buying. Just time. I love it.
Before I go, I wanted to share a few more pictures from the Boxwood and Berries class at Country Sampler in Spring Green WI. Patty G was so generous to share her pictures. I remembered my camera charger but left the camera sitting on the kitchen counter! So I only got a few pics on my cell phone. Thanks Patti for sharing!!!
Unfortunately Barb and Alma had to leave the gathering a bit early to finish up a new quilt book that will be available very soon!
This was the basket at each attendee's seat. I bought a few more baskets before leaving. Super cute!
Patti, the smartypants that she is, decided to make a wool table topper from the applique pattern that was part of Barb and Alma's class. Patti says she doesn't quilt but does tons of wool applique so she whipped this up in ONE afternoon. I tried very hard to steal it from her but she kept a close watch on the beautiful piece. Dang it!
Maggie's wool heart box. I'm trying to finish mine. Have the bottom constructed and am working on the lid. Several girls in the class got theirs finished. Again, more showoffs. Guess I spent too much time talking to my tablemates. We didn't get much completed at all! Ha Ha!
The sign to Jeanne's new school room. Everything she does is perfect and beautiful. I'm am always impressed by her. That's why her retreat was so wonderful. Everything down to the table cloths was thought out and perfect! I highly recommend this retreat!
Some of the Wisconsin color. Just beautiful!
Maggie's trunk show. Wow, what a talent she is. And so cute. I love her! Wish she and I lives down the street from each other. Then we could hang out and I could soak up some of her talent. Does it work that way???
I don't have any pictures of cute Stacy. She is awesome. As cute as can be and man oh man can she rock the wardrobe! Everything that she wore looked fabulous! She was so patient with me (and Courtney) as I (we) whined about constructing the drum. And do you know it wasn't hard at all? I'm so glad that I sucked it up and made one. I always think I don't like hand sewing but once I force myself to sit and do it, I love it! I bought a few of Stacy's pattens and can't wait to get started on them. So, so wonderful!!! You can find out more about Stacy here.
Whew, I'm exhausted! Gotta run and get ready for our local goblins! Happy Halloween my friends!
