I am not a master of my time. Anyone that knows me, knows this to be true. And so I'm always thinking of ways I can do better. Quit allowing Lily to consume all my time. Watch less television (I really don't watch that much!). Allow myself one hour a day to look for new and exciting things on the computer. Awww, that's no fun! I know! I will get a laptop so I can update my blog in the living room. While letting my hair air dry before bed at night. In a motel where I spend more and more of my time it seems. So I have ordered one. And it's on it's way. I'm just sure it will change my life.
Speaking of life changing things....my new job has definitely put a wrinkle in my fun. I work four days a week, ten hour days and man oh man am I bushed by Friday! I love my job most days and Chuck LOVES having an extra paycheck. After "working" at home for five years, it's been an adjustment. I know it will get better. It will, right?
My wonderful son in law John will get back late tonight from a mission trip he took with other men from church to Baja Mexico. They go on a mechanical mission at least once a year and help fix the few cars and buses that the people there have. And they teach the local men how to do some repairs themselves. It's such a great idea and I can't wait to hear what John did and his thoughts. He is young and to have given up his time with Courtney, a week's vacation and money to do something for people that he doesn't know is truly amazing. Most young men his age are thinking of much different avenues for adventure. I'm very proud of him.
I'm making vegetable soup for dinner and have to go check on the progress. I will be in northern PA next week for more training for my job. Finally I will get to see some snow! Have a good week, Tracy
(PS~the picture is of Lily in the bathtub with soap crayon gunk on her and the walls...what fun!)
